As Congress convenes in 2013, with a reelected President and new Senators and Congressional representatives from both parties form their positions and start shaping the legislative agenda for the year, important broadband issues are starting to emerge.

With many in Congress seeking to avoid the backlash from a very well-organized public relations campaign against SOPA and PIPA, legislative leaders are not likely to bring the legislation back into the spotlight.

U.S. Senators: Extend Internet Taxation Ban Indefinitely

President Obama has not been quiet about his priorities when it comes to broadband and telecommunication policies.  With the daunting task of regulating telecommunications, the FCC is trying to stimulant interest in the broadband provider community to build Gigabit networks.
